A gallery of individuality

The world was never meant to be a competition of appearance - it was meant to be a gallery of individuality where every person adds their own color, texture, and story.

The different colors, textures and uniqueness of an art piece is seen as a masterpiece but we can’t see ourselves that way. Why?

8 million people a year travel to Lourve to gaze in awe at the Mona Lisa. But when we look at ourselves in the mirror we want to turn away in an instant. Our own reflection gives us disgust. Why don’t we look at ourselves as a work of art?

We hid ourselves through filters and try to fit into canvases that are too small or too big. We try to sculpt away our rough edges and alter our textures to match those near us.

Years are spent trying to create an extraordinary image that ends up to “just not be good enough.” Hours are spent trying to fix, adjust and erase.

Instead of trying to fix the rough draft, just let it be. This is the creation. It’s unique, colorful, with a few rough edges and maybe some mistakes. But it’s beautiful. No need to look away.

Every brush stroke tells a story. All the colors allow expression. The different textures express a trait and all the edges create a surface of strength to hold the weight of a masterpiece.

It’s flawless, not flawed.
